Amanda Knox vows to fight murder conviction, won't 'go willingly' to Italy

Florence, Italy (CNN) -- Amanda Knox vowed Friday to fight her conviction for the murder of British student Meredith Kercher "until the very end" and said she "will never go willingly" back to Italy.

Speaking on ABC's "Good Morning America," Knox said news of the guilty verdict Thursday "really has hit me like a train."

"I did not expect this to happen. I really expected so much better from the Italian justice system," she said. "They found me innocent before. How can they say that it's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt?"

An appeals court found Knox and her former boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, guilty of murder in the Italian city of Florence after a retrial.

Kim Kallstrom: Identified as short-term midfield cover

                               

Arsenal have confirmed that they have signed Kim Kallstrom on loan from Spartak Moscow for the remainder of the season.

The Sweden midfielder emerged as a surprise target for Arsene Wenger early on deadline-day, and the deal was finalised well in advance of the 11pm cut-off.
The 31-year-old has more than 100 international caps and was part of the Lyon squad which reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2010.

New Delhi (CNN) -- An Indian army corporal suspected of sexually assaulting a 14-month-old girl over the weekend has been taken into custody, Bangalore police said.

Cpl. Naik Dharamveer, 32, was arrested based on a complaint filed by the baby's parents, who had left the child in his care.

Doctors have conducted a medical exam on the girl, and police are waiting for their report.
