A boy of 13 has admitted raping his eight-year-old sister after watching porn on an Xbox.
The teenager, from Lancashire, told police he had seen the x-rated material on a games console with a friend and "decided to try it out".
He said he had chosen his sister because she was small and "couldn't remember stuff".
The youngster appeared before Blackburn Magistrates Court today where he also pleaded guilty to indecently assaulting the girl and inciting her to perform a sexual act on him.
The boy has been bailed to live with relatives away from his sister while the youth offending team prepares a pre-sentence report on him.
The little girl is now being supported by specialist officers.
Blackburn MP Jack Straw said it was the responsibility of internet service providers to make sure children could not access sexually-explicit content.

Arsenal serious contenders to sign William Carvalho

Arsenal are believed to be serious contenders in the race to sign William Carvalho from Sporting Lisbon, reports Portuguese source O Jogo.

Eden Hazard targets Premier League title after Chelsea's win over Manchester City

Eden Hazard is confident Chelsea have the qualities to win the Premier League title following the 1-0 victory at Manchester City.

Chelsea ended City's 100 per cent home record in the league this season on Monday after Branislav Ivanovic's first-half goal moved Jose Mourinho's side level on points with their opponents.
Though Mourinho has played down Chelsea's title chances in his first season back in charge at Stamford Bridge, the Blues sit just two points behind leaders Arsenal.
Hazard, who has been Chelsea's star performer in recent weeks, praised the performance at the Etihad Stadium and is determined to keep his team in the fight for the title.
"Lots of people thought that we would just set out to defend," Hazard is quoted in The Sun. "But it was the opposite.

Since the era of the global financial crisis in the mid-2008 and the special audit test carried out on banks by the Central Bank of Nigeria, the banking sector has witnessed a chain of job losses estimated at more than 15,000 by industry watchers.

Our correspondent learnt that the recent increase of Cash Reserve Ratio on public sector funds from 50 per cent to 75 per cent, among other policies, was the main reason for embarking on the staff rationalisation programme.

English Premier League side Swansea City have sacked manager Michael Laudrup.

Announcing the news Tuesday on the official website, club chairman Huw Jenkins said in a statement: "It is a decision we have taken reluctantly. But it's a decision made in the best interests of Swansea City Football Club and our supporters.

"It is the first time in nearly 10 years that the club has parted with a manager in this way, but we had to remove the constant uncertainty surrounding the club and Michael's long-term future with us."

Laudrup guided Swansea to the League Cup glory and ninth in the Premier League table last year and this season has been far from disastrous with the club lying 12th in the table and into the last 32 of the Europa League.

But a recent slump in form -- six points from ten league games which includes four losses in their last five matches --

PRISON BREAK:-US launches manhunt for prison escapee

A  man convicted in four murders has escaped from a Michigan prison and briefly held a woman hostage, officials told Skynews reports.

Michael David Elliot was discovered missing on Sunday night at around 9.30pm local time from the Ionia Correctional Facility in central Michigan.

“It appears he created a hole at the bottom of the two perimeter fences of the correctional facility and then crawled through those holes,” according to Michigan Department of Corrections spokesman Russ Marlan.

Department Director Dan Heyns said Elliot was dressed in a white kitchen uniform, which might have helped him blend in with snow and evade security.

Once outside the prison, Elliot abducted a woman in Ionia using a knife or box cutter and drove her Jeep to a gas station in northern Indiana, roughly 100 miles southwest of Ionia.

The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department said the woman was able to call 911 from a concealed mobile phone while he was pumping gas at the store near Middlebury in Elkhart County.

The woman ran to a restroom where she locked herself inside.

The Special Fraud Unit of the Nigeria Police has arrested a former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Alhaja Sinatu Ojikutu, who was declared wanted by the unit on June 19, 2013 in connection with the case of obtaining the sum of N130m from one Cajethan Okekearu.
The SFU said in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Isintume-Agu, on Tuesday that the ex-deputy governor was arrested at her Lagos Island residence.
The police alleged that the 67-year-old suspect connived with her son, Samson Ojikutu Jnr, who is currently in United States, to commit the fraud.

But Madison Avenue, with its hundreds of millions of dollars worth of commercials, was there. And it looks like the ad men and women have caught on to this whole social media thing.

For the first time, more than half of all commercials aired during the big game included a social hashtag.

From Chevy's #SilveradoStrong to Coke's #AmericaIsBeautiful, 57% of the ads featured hashtags, those searchable terms that have spread from Twitter to Instagram, Facebook and other platforms. That's up from 50% last year and 7% the year before -- a remarkable ascent, considering that Audi made news just three years ago when it became the first Super Bowl advertiser to push to Twitter.

Despite Twitter's buzz factor, 1.2 billion-user-strong Facebook may still be Madison Avenue's platform of choice. Facebook got five specific mentions in ads, compared to Twitter's four.

A rite of passage that pushes girls into sex

When Grace learned she'd be going to a camp with her friends, she was thrilled. Every girl around her age in her southern Malawi village would attend the rite of passage, known as an initiation camp. They counted down to what seemed like summer camp.

"We were happy, because we didn't know what was there," she said.

Vanity Fair released a sneak peek of its 20th annual Hollywood Issue on Monday, and it may be the most groundbreaking one yet.
The magazine has apparently taken steps toward emphasizing the diversity of Hollywood. For the first time since it began putting out the annual special in 1995, six of the 12 celebrated thespians gracing the 2014 cover are not white.
The magazine has come under fire in the past for an apparent lack of diversity. Just a few years ago, as Buzzfeed has pointed out, a 2010 the cover featured nine actresses — all white, thin and under 40 years old.

Negredo: Arsenal are title favourites

Following Chelsea's victory over City on Monday evening, Jose Mourinho insisted that unlike Manuel Pellegrini's men, his young side should not be considered among the front-runners this season.

Arsenal remain two points clear of both at the top of the table, and Negredo believes the Gunners are the team City will have to beat to reclaim the trophy they won in 2012.

Cyrus is apparently taking baby steps in order to put out the flame for good. But she hasn't indicated whether she'll also drop her habit of smoking marijuana, as she's previously boasted about her love for the high.
"I love weed. I just love getting stoned," she told Ronan Farrow for the March issue of W Magazine. "I just want it to be back to where it's, like, organic, good weed."
