Selfies just went high fashion! Kendall Jenner makes it into style's big leagues with a couture shoot for Vogue released after her Marc Jacobs debut

#askaroundnow
Kendall Jenner is fast leaving her reality TV star image behind and catching style's high fashion eye.
While her big sister Kim Kardashian has started to make a dedicated effort to get the world's fashion houses to take notice, the 18-year-old has them clamoring to dress her.
Marking her real arrival as a fashion model and not just a novelty, Kendal was asked by Vogue US to show off its favourite looks of New York Fashion Week.
Just like mom: The 18-year-old got excited not by her stunning Oscar de la Renta gown but by the wig that made her look like mother Kris Jenner
Hitting the big time: Kendall Jenner, in Marc Jacobs, starred in a Vogue shoot showing its favourite New York Fashion Week looks on Friday

On Friday, the fashion bible released a shoot and story about the Keeping Up With The Kardashian's star.
The shoot - which took inspiration from the teenager's fame on social media - came just hours after she made her catwalk debut for Marc Jacobs.
While her nipple flashing walk raised eyebrows with some, a chance to be in the Marc Jacobs runway is a career highlight for many models.
Calling her on 'the verge of IT girl-dom' the online version of the magazine - which has the power to make and break people in the fashion world - published a set very different looks from everyone from Oscar de la Renta to Jacobs.

Playing on Kendall's Instagram popularity - she currently has almost 9 million followers - the star posed inside a doorway of the iconic New York Plaza Hotel as if she was taking selfies of her own shoot.

While using the professionally taken shots according to the magazine, who poked a little fun of its model, Kendall did spend a lot of time taking snaps on her phone - '25 pictures in the span of two minutes and eight seconds'.
The 18-year-old went especially snap happy when she donned the stunning ball gown by Oscar de la Renta, which featured a black bustier with sweat heart neckline and a voluminous pink skirt with a dramatic train.
But it was not the dress which had the star so excited, it was the short bob wig, which she said made her look just like her mother Kris Jenner.
The star told Vogue: 'This is so freaky. My mom is going to freak out!
'I’m going to do her face and everything.'
In addition to the stunning gown, the svelte brunette - whom stands at 6-foot in heels - was wrapped up in a Michael Kors fur jacket, this time with her natural locks left down and largely unstyled, with little makeup except for the on trend look of heavy exaggerated eyebrows.
That completely changed for her modelling of a House Of Herrera look with the 18-year-old sporting rich red glossy lips and feminine eyebrows to go with the 1960s inspired ensemble of cropped red pants with a matching red and fur pea coat and a Fez-inspired hat.
It was the case of another designer, another decade, with the star dressed very 1980s goth in the normally feminine designs of Vera Wang.
With dark black lipstick and edgy leather opera gloves, the look hinted at the massive public attention the Kardashian family draws as Kendall wore a T-shirt with a long leather skirt baring the slogan 'You bug me'.
While showing off Tony Burch's NYFW offering, the star was transported back in time even farther, looking like a modern reincarnation of someone from Marie Antoinette's court just before the French Revolution.

The magazine, of course, also paid tribute to Kendall's Marc Jacobs debut, with the young model once again having her eyebrows made to look bleached out and donning an awkward bob wig - this time in pastel pink - with a head band like she did Thursday night's show.
For the Vogue shoot, the star was far more covered up wearing a long psychedelic sequined dress with tan boots.
On Thursday, Kendall caused controversy as she walked the catwalk in a sheer brown top - which left nothing to the imagination.
While it is nothing new to see models exposing their nipples, as the world has seen Kendall grow up on her E! reality show seeing her bare all came as bit of a shock.
