She has been busy recording material for her forthcoming new studio album.
But Mariah Carey is ensuring she takes some important time to relax on her beach retreat.
The 43-year-old diva posted several snapshots of herself wearing a bikini and chilling out in a swimming pool with an ocean view on Wednesday.

The star sported a red bikini with a pair of high heels at her luxurious beach retreat alongside the caption: 'Music is my life #Gratitude.'

In another Instagram post, the star showed off her curvaceous figure in the bikini, with her hair pulled into a top knot. 
'First listen after being pon de makeshift studio all night,' she wrote next to the snapshot which showed her looking out onto a spectacular sunset.

She wore the same bikini while standing shin-length in the swimming pool in a photograph with the caption: 'A moment after the studio.'
Another shot featured her in the pool next to a fountain with the caption: 'Splash! Morning listening session.'
Mariah is certainly no stranger to posting pics of her family on Twitter.

On Saturday the pop diva put up a few more, this time showing a tender moment between her - with no make-up on - and husband Nick Cannon as they snuggled in bed with their twins, daughter Monroe and son Moroccan. 
Alongside the picture the singer wrote, 'Sweet sweet family moments.'

With her hair in half braids and wearing a skimpy while negligee, the Butterfly singer looked like she had just woken up.

Nick wore a black and red T-shirt while the children had on their pajamas.
They were all in a bed with a wicker headboard. Their white sheets looked a bit wrinkled.
Illustrating that she still has an enviable figure, the Dream Lover singer shared a photo on Wednesday revealing a gold bikini top under a white blouse while at a family beach retreat Tuesday.
'Fresh ocean breeze!' the 43-year-old pop diva tweeted to her 14.9 million followers.

The five-time Grammy winner also shared a swimming pool shot of Monroe and Moroccan, affectionately known as 'Dem Babies.'
Carey's new album - formerly titled The Art of Letting Go - will be released on May 6 after four years of recording.
Little Monroe - who 'can't stay away from Momma's mic' - will make her singing debut on it.
'It's a song that I wrote with Bryan-Michael Cox and Jermaine Dupri. There's a part that Jermaine says on the song that [the kids] loved, and Monroe started to say it,' Mariah told People.
