Following countless public declarations and love song dedications, it seems that Robin Thicke has given up on saving his marriage.
With his wedding ring now off and his gushing tributes to estranged wife of almost nine years Paula Patton having ceased, the 36-year-old has all but admitted defeat at trying to win back the love of his high-school sweetheart.
And who can blame him, with the mother of his child remaining stone-cold silent in the wake of their separation announcement on February 24 - instead letting her bare ring finger do the talking as she jetted into LAX from the Vancouver, Canada set of her new movie, Warcraft, just two days later.
The ring is off! Robin Thicke stepped out in New York City on Friday ahead of his gig at Madison Square Garden, purposely flashing his wedding ring-free finger as he seemingly admits defeat and stops trying to woo estranged wife Paula Patton
In a sweet moment captured on camera, when a fan yelled, 'I love Paula!' he responded with: 'I do, too!'
He then gave a heartfelt rendition of Al Green's Let's Stay Together, before taking the opportunity to wax poetic about love with his captive audience.
'Never stop believing and you never stop loving. And even if it is over, make sure you treat each other right. Treat your family right. Take care of your mom, take care of your kids and good things
will come to you. Just keep believing that God is good,' he preached.
Smiling through the pain? The star looked anything but down in the dumps after ceasing all public declarations and love song dedications to his high-school sweetheart, with whom he separated on February 24 after nearly nine years of marriage
Ready to move on: The Blurred Lines hitmaker - who will celebrate his 37th birthday on March 10 - doesn't appear to be looking back any longer, instead getting on with business touring around the country while the actress cares for their three-year-old son, Julian
'That's what gets me by. Sometimes, when I get a little scared or worried about the future, I just try to stay positive and do my part to spread love and spread joy.'
On February 27 - just three days after the couple announced their separation - as many as three huge white bouquets of flowers were seen being delivered to the 38-year-old's home in Los Angeles, with many speculating they were a bid by Robin to woo his estranged wife.
That same evening, he took to the stage in Fairfax, Virginia for his first post-split performance, where he admitted he wasn't willing to give up so easily on his marriage as he dedicated Lost Without U to his spouse.
'For y'all that don’t know, me and my wife separated, but I'm trying to get my girl back,' he told the audience.
Belle of the ball: Paula Patton displayed a leaner physique as she glammed up in a stunning pearlescent white-silver plunging Celia Kritharioti gown with detailed embellishment and fishtail train for Vanity Fair's annual Oscars Party on March 2
Nothing mellow about her: The mom-of-one, who reportedly initiated the separation, matched her fun yellow lace mini-dress to her cheery disposition as she attended the 2014 Film Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica on March 1
He also dropped his gushing act during his concert in New Jersey the following evening, and it was the same story come Friday's gig at New York's famed Madison Square Garden.
Not that the Blurred Lines hitmaker appeared to be at all down in the dumps - flashing a huge grin and purposely flaunting his ring-free digit for the cameras.
The newly-single singer will ring in his 37th birthday solo on March 10, the first time in more than 20 years Paula hasn't been by his side to help him celebrate.
It's not known whether the doting dad will have the couple's three-year-old son, Julian, by his side.
The calm before the storm: Just one month prior to their split, the couple of more than 20 years were the picture of happiness as they hit the red carpet arm in arm at Clive Davis' pre-Grammys Party at LA's Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 25
