Condemning the attack by Boko Haram on a school in Yobe State on Tuesday, he promised that his country would support Nigeria to overcome its challenges.

According to a report released on Tuesday, Gaga’s sales cut a 9.3 percent revenue for Universal Music Group. In addition this didn’t bode well for her international sales. The Japanese market, which makes up 25 percent of global sales took a dive as well.
Aside from Gaga’s apparent flop album, Universal Music’s top-selling albums belonged to EMI artist Katy Perry and Interscope’s Eminem. Universal Music Group reported that there was a 75 percent jump in different subscription services.
This isn’t the first time that Lady Gaga and Universal Music Group have gotten into financial troubles. Back in 2012 Lady Gaga and Universal Musical Group were sued for a reported $10 million by the maker of Bratz Dolls, MGA Entertainment.
According to E! back in 2012 both Gaga and UMG were being sued. The complaint in the lawsuit stated that the Bratz doll company agreed to produce Lady Gaga dolls in the singer’s image back in December 2011 and that the merchandising firm paid a $1 million fee for Gaga’s likeness. The company planned to ship the Lady Gaga dolls out to stores before Christmas.
However, Bravado, Gaga’s firm told MGA Entertainment, the Bratz company, that Gaga wanted to delay production and shipping to coincide with the ARTPop album.
According to the lawsuit obtained by E! MGA agreed to “an excessively generous royalty rate, invested millions into the pre-production of the Lady Gaga Dolls and put its reputation and goodwill on the line in order to secure distributors and retail shelf space.” The toy company had said that it, “demands a trial by jury on all issues so triable.”
At the time Gaga’s rep came to the singer’s defense having said:

“This is a dispute between Universal Music Group’s merchandising company and MGA. There was no legitimate reason for MGA to drag Lady Gaga into that dispute. MGA today asked the judge to immediately require Lady Gaga to approve dolls which MGA wants to manufacture and distribute.”

Seeing as Lady Gaga’s Bratz dolls weren’t on the shelves with the release of her poorly received album, it looks like the case is still in limbo. Unfortunately, what isn’t in limbo is the reception from ARTPop

Aside from Gaga’s apparent flop album, Universal Music’s top-selling albums belonged to EMI artist Katy Perry and Interscope’s Eminem. Universal Music Group reported that there was a 75 percent jump in different subscription services.
This isn’t the first time that Lady Gaga and Universal Music Group have gotten into financial troubles. Back in 2012 Lady Gaga and Universal Musical Group were sued for a reported $10 million by the maker of Bratz Dolls, MGA Entertainment.
According to E! back in 2012 both Gaga and UMG were being sued. The complaint in the lawsuit stated that the Bratz doll company agreed to produce Lady Gaga dolls in the singer’s image back in December 2011 and that the merchandising firm paid a $1 million fee for Gaga’s likeness. The company planned to ship the Lady Gaga dolls out to stores before Christmas.
However, Bravado, Gaga’s firm told MGA Entertainment, the Bratz company, that Gaga wanted to delay production and shipping to coincide with the ARTPop album.
According to the lawsuit obtained by E! MGA agreed to “an excessively generous royalty rate, invested millions into the pre-production of the Lady Gaga Dolls and put its reputation and goodwill on the line in order to secure distributors and retail shelf space.” The toy company had said that it, “demands a trial by jury on all issues so triable.”
At the time Gaga’s rep came to the singer’s defense having said:

“This is a dispute between Universal Music Group’s merchandising company and MGA. There was no legitimate reason for MGA to drag Lady Gaga into that dispute. MGA today asked the judge to immediately require Lady Gaga to approve dolls which MGA wants to manufacture and distribute.”

Seeing as Lady Gaga’s Bratz dolls weren’t on the shelves with the release of her poorly received album, it looks like the case is still in limbo. Unfortunately, what isn’t in limbo is the reception from ARTPop.

It turns out Sandra Bullock's "Gravity" paycheck is seriously out of this world.
The Oscar nominee will earn at least $70 million for Alfonso Cuarón's space epic, according to The Hollywood Reporter. That's because she gets 15 percent of first-dollar grosses, which is a fancy way of describing the portion of the box office revenue that's owed to Warner Bros. That $70 million also includes the initial $20 million Bullock was paid upfront for the role.
Given the length of "Gravity," a $70 million paycheck means Bullock will have earned about $769,000 for each of the movie's 91 minutes.
"Gravity" earnings derive from the studio's revenue negotiations with theater owners and the movie's personnel. Because the movie has made more than $700 million worldwide and a studio's cut of box office cash is typically 40 to 50 percent, Bullock is set to earn more than $50 million from theatrical revenue. The rest comes from home-video purchases and rentals along with other ancillary income. (Cuarón, co-star George Clooney and producer David Heyman reportedly may see hefty paychecks through these cash flows as well.)

Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o has hit out at allegations suggesting he is older than 32 years old.

Jose Mourinho was left fuming after a private conversation was recorded by Canal Plus and revealed the Blues boss saying: "The problem with Chelsea is we lack a scorer. I have one [Eto'o] but he's 32. Maybe 35, who knows?"

But when questioned about Mourinho’s comments after Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Galatasaray on Wednesday, Eto’o told Mediaset: "I do not have to explain anything.

Nollywood Actor, Emeka Ike has been sued by his landlord who is accusing him of owing N8.5million rent which accumulated over a 3-year period of non-payment.
The landlord, Samuel Akintan, is alleging that the actor owes him and has refused to vacate his property, in spite of many attempts to eject him from the twin-duplex located in Magodo, Lagos State, since his lease expired in 2012.
In an interview with Saturday Sun, the 87-year-old diabetic said he just wants the actor to pay 1.5 million out of the accrued debt, adding, ‘When I wanted to take the matter to court, Emeka wrote a letter pleading with me. I have sympathy for Emeka, but unfortunately, he has no sympathy for himself. I never knew this man from Adam. My children said they know him, that he’s an actor. That’s how I fell into his hands.’
The Nollywood actor was also accused of issuing a dud cheque of N1.5 million to the old man, and subsequently lying to Magodo police to forcefully take back control of the property after it was initially locked up by the Commissioner of Police’s office.
Meanwhile, Emeka Ike has said he is still in possession and that the matter should not be treated like a national crisis.

The allegation comes a day after Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho said Eto'o was probably older than 32.
‘The problem with Chelsea is I lack a scorer,’ said Mourinho.
‘I have Eto’o but he is 32 years old, maybe 35, who knows?’
Now the footballer's ex Anna Barranca has joined the debate telling The Sun: 'I think Samuel is not 35 he is more 39.
'Samuel was born in 1974 and so that makes him 39 now.'
The Italian hairdresser says she was informed of the sport stars true age by a friend who grew up with Eto'o in Cameroon, west Africa.
A Chelsea source said Eto'o's passport clearly states that the footballer is 32.
Ms Barranca, 43, is the mother of his child Annie.
Mourinho arrived in Istanbul on Monday night livid that remarks he made in a private conversation which undermine his strikers had been secretly filmed and broadcast.

A woman schoolteacher whose 'love' for a schoolboy led her into his bed wearing only a bra and jeans has narrowly avoided a prison sentence.
Teacher Bernadette Smith was said to be infatuated with student Gary Ralston, who has waived his anonymity.
The obsession cost her job and her reputation, Stirling Sheriff Court heard.
But after Smith pleaded guilty, Gary said that he didn’t know how the affair - which is now over -  had happened, but said that before it, she was always his favourite teacher.
He said: 'I was thinking I was quite lucky. A lot of the boys fancied her. I couldn’t believe she was with me.'
Sheriff Wyllie Robertson told Smith, 35, who kissed Gary, 16, and lay beside him wearing only jeans and a bra, that she had committed a serious abuse of trust, and only the fact that she had not gone further had saved her from a jail sentence.
There was no suggestion Mr Ralston had suffered any long-term harm.
Long-haired Smith, who left court wreathed in smiles, was placed under supervision for two years as part of a community payback order.
She will remain on the sex offenders’ register for the same period.
After reading background reports, Sheriff Robertson said that her conduct was towards the lesser end of the scale for sex offences covered by the type of charge to which she had pleaded guilty.
He added: 'Some of course may say that had it not been detected it could have led to more serious activity towards the other end of the scale, but that is speculation.
'It is serious enough of course when a teacher admits this kind of conduct towards a pupil. We expect teachers to ensure that children under their care are safe from abuse, and that has not happened.'
Sheriff Robertson told Smith that it may have been that 'difficulties within your marriage contributed to this aberration', but he said many other teachers coped with marriage difficulties without resorting to what he called 'this frankly bizarre course of behaviour'.
He told Smith, who appeared in the dock wearing a black, belted trench coat over a short black-and-white checked skirt: 'You have lost your reputation, your job and your career, and your marriage is at an end.

A Northern California couple out walking their dog in February 2013 on their Gold Country property stumbled across a modern-day bonanza: $10 million in rare, mint-condition gold coins buried in the shadow of an old tree.
Nearly all of the 1,427 coins, dating from 1847 to 1894, are in uncirculated, mint condition, said David Hall, co-founder of Professional Coin Grading Service of Santa Ana, which recently authenticated them.
Although the face value of the gold pieces only adds up to about $27,000, some of them are so rare that coin experts say they could fetch nearly $1 million apiece.
'I don't like to say once-in-a-lifetime for anything, but you don't get an opportunity to handle this kind of material, a treasure like this, ever,' said veteran numismatist Don Kagin, who is representing the finders. 'It's like they found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.'

Boko Haram kills 43 schoolchildren

Boko Haram  killed 43  pupils  on Tuesday when they attacked  the  Federal Government College in Buni Yadi, Yobe State.

The insurgents reportedly arrived at the college at about 2am  in 11 Hilux vans when the pupils were already asleep.

They were said to have  set  locked hostels on fire, before shooting and slitting the throats of those who tried to climb out of the windows. Some were burnt  alive.

A teacher, Adamu Garba, said he and  some of his colleagues  who ran away through the bush estimated that over  40 pupils  died in the assault  which bore the hallmarks of a similar one in September at an agriculture training college in the state.

Forty sleeping students lost their lives in the September  attack on a series of hostels in the agriculture training college.

Before  the Tuesday morning massacre,  President Goodluck Jonathan, at a seminar on the ‘Imperativeness of the Observance of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law Norms in Internal Security Operations’ in Abuja on Monday,  appealed to  Boko Haram terrorists to lay down their arms and embrace dialogue.

Jonathan had during  the presidential media chat also on Monday,   flayed the Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima,  for saying that Boko Haram members were better equipped and motivated  than the Nigerian troops deployed to flush them out from the North-East.

 He  defended the military’s record, saying it had  recorded  some successes against Boko Haram.

The President  added that  Nigeria was working with the Cameroonian authorities to prevent the militants from mounting attacks in Nigeria and then fleeing over the border.

Another teacher at  the Federal Government College  said the attackers first set ablaze the college administrative block and then moved to the hostels where they  hurled explosives  and    fired  guns  into the  rooms.

Ellen Page grabs lunch with bisexual actress pal Evan Rachel Wood... almost two weeks after coming out as gay

They have been friends for years and will co-star in upcoming futuristic drama Into The Forest but Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood have something else in common. 
The two actresses enjoyed a lunch date in Los Angeles on Sunday where Evan, who announced she was bisexual in 2011, was most likely giving Ellen some advice after the Juno star came out as a  lesbian in a brave Valentine's Day speech.
While reaction to Ellen’s sexuality has been overwhelmingly positive, no doubt she is relieved to have friends such as Evan, who have been through a similar experience, to talk to.

Ellen, 27, made her announcement while delivering a speech at the Human Rights Campaign's Time To THRIVE conference for LGBTQ [Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning] youth.
In her speech, Page said she hoped her news would help others struggling with their sexuality, saying: 'I'm here today because I am gay. And because maybe I can make a difference.
'To help others have an easier and more hopeful time. Regardless, for me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility.'
