Jack Wilshere has played down his bust-up with team-mate Mathieu Flamini in training on Friday, posting a sarcastic picture of him clashing with the Frenchman on the team bus.
The midfield duo were pictured in an apparent disagreement at the club's training ground base just 24 hours before Arsenal host the Black Cats in their Premier League clash.
Discussion: Wilshere stands with his arms open as Sagna looks to ease the apparent training ground tension
Bacary Sagna was on hand to diffuse the situation by approaching Wilshere before putting his arm around the England midfielder.
But Wilshere jokingly Tweeted: 'Flam was not happy when I walked on the bus tonight! Sorry mate I promise to never disagree with you again!! #Angry'
The discussion between the two Arsenal stars comes only days after Flamini was involved in a very public spat with Mesut Ozil in their side's 2-0 defeat against Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium.
The French midfielder tore into Ozil, apparently accusing the £42.5million signing of a lack of effort.
The flashpoint came in the second half after a Bayern move broke down and the ball is collected from behind the goal by Lukasz Fabianski.
Arsenal are looking to get their league form back on track with the visit of Sunderland on Saturday after drawing with Manchester United and losing to Liverpool in their last two games.
