Paris Hilton has done it, as has Carmen Electra and Dita Von Teese. Now Kim Kardashian is giving it a try.
The reality star will be the celebrity date for billionaire Richard Lugner, 81, during this evening's Vienna Opera Ball. On Thursday afternoon the reality star looked uncomfortable as she attended a press conference with the senior citizen in front of his mega shopping mall in the Austrian city.
Mom Kris Jenner seemed to be thrilled, however, with the appearance, as she was seen laughing and smiling while her daughter fulfilled her obligations.

Though the E! favorite brought along daughter North, aged eight months, to the European city, the baby was not seen during the afternoon press meeting. Kim's fiancé Kanye West was not along either.
The new mother showed off a trim waistline in a fitted white dress that would be appropriate for a spring tea party. She also wore a matching white coat as she posed next to the entrepreneur, who looked exhausted and stressed out.
Not one to give glamor a day off, Kardashian walked in light grey high heels during her meet and greet. Her hair was worn straight and long, and there wasn't much color on her face, just the usual black eye makeup and touch of pink lip gloss.
Mother Kris looked ecstatic to be a part of all the hoopla.
She smiled from ear-to-ear in a black suit with a low-cut top that displayed her cleavage.
At one point she stood near her daughter as she gave a short speech.
Standing off to the side and holding a bouquet of flowers, Jenner almost looked like a bridesmaid to the white-clad Kim who was standing close to the tycoon.

Celebrities who have attended the opera with Lugner in the past have reportedly been paid for their appearances.
Numbers as low as $150,000 and as high as $1m have been whispered about.
There has also been reports that the women get to borrow expensive jewelry for the Ball.
Lindsay Lohan was memorably a no show at the event in 2010 after promising to appear.
Paris seemed to enjoy her time with the older businessman in 2007.
