Think of Valentine's Day and you probably imagine bouquets of ripe, fragrant roses, a cosy night with your lover and perhaps an intimate, candlelit dinner for two.
As the world outside freezes (or in our case drowns) in the grip of late winter, the last thing on most couples' minds is thrill seeking - at least anywhere else but the bedroom.
So your devotion to your partner might be seriously tested if he or she told you the plan for February 14 was to celebrate your love with a bungee jump. Naked. In the snow.
Taking the plunge: The couples were forced to wait up to 15 minutes in the freezing weather before their turn
But love was most certainly in the air for nine couples who yesterday headed to Sigulda, Latvia, where they disrobed, embraced, and leapt from a cable car.
Video footage showed them in tight clinches, screaming in delight and terror, as they bounced around before being caught by a landing party on the ground with warm drinks and towels.
And if that wasn't brave enough, the lovers had wait their turn in their birthday suits for 15 minutes before making the jump.
Trip organiser Juris Necajevs from Latvian bungee travel agents Bungee.lv, said: 'Regardless of the winter circumstances, the response to this campaign was so big that we had to hold a draw.
'This is just the proof of the fact that people are yearning for extraordinary and crazy activities to make their routine life brighter.
'Enamoured, crazy and naked such were the young people who dared to participate in this adventure.
'As the participants acknowledged, it was a fantastic experience for them to be remember and an unusual activity to share with their soulmates.'
