But luckily Bruce Jenner was supported by daughter Kylie and stepdaughter Khloe Kardashian as they went out for a family lunch at Jinkys Kanan Cafe in Calabasas, California, on Friday.
The half-sisters, who arrived together, were showing support for the 64-year-old ex-Olympic athlete.
Kylie, 16, sported a black chiffon blouse over a mini-dress and black ankle boots.
The teenager held hands with the 29-year-old as they walked into the restaurant together.
The former Olympian had looked tired and weary leaving a clinic in Beverly Hills where he is said to have had the operation at the end of January.
But he looked much more robust on Friday in a light blue V-neck jumper, baggy jeans and blue Nike trainers. Bruce was also sporting his new, thicker hairstyle.
Of course, the tender lunch date was captured by the cameras for Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
The pair appeared to spend much of the day together with Kylie keeping Khloe's spirits up on her first Valentine's Day following the news of her divorce from basketball star husband Lamar Odom.
