But unfortunately for Jessie J not even she could pull off all the lilac lipstick she had liberally applied, and she took to Twitter following the event to accept her error.
She wrote: 'The lip didn't work. Get over it. I have. Onto the next look!'

Looking like she had got ready for a day at the beach by putting on plenty of sunblock, she still appeared stunning in her appealing outfit on Wednesday night.

Jessie's unusual lipstick got plenty of people talking on social networking sites, with one fan comparing her look to the moment Kate Winslet's character Rose was seen freezing to death in the icy waters at the end of the 1997 movie Titanic.
