Rihanna is often heralded as the queen of transformations, but Nicki Minaj
doesn’t get nearly enough credit. Just look how flawless she looks on
her recent Instagram spree with her natural hair, straightened and
pulled into a tight ponytail, then subsequently into an elegant
tri-bun—pretty sure she just coined that last 'do. (Though, Katy Perry's Grammys look comes pretty close.)
With Nicki’s ever-changing hair colors and revolving wardrobe of flashy looks—see: her Kmart collection—it’s
been a while since we’ve gotten to see what a natural beauty she is.
She wears a white T-shirt well. But her low-key look is also leaving us
with a few questions, like what was she on set for when she Instagrammed
these pics?
The ones of her staring in the mirror at her new ‘do are giving us major pixie-cut Beyonce vibes,
and by the looks of the people in the background and the fancy clothes
on the rack behind her—that chained vest is DOPE—it looks like Minaj
could be shooting a new video. Or maybe it’s for an editorial? Better
yet, we hope it’s for the cover of her next album.
